Students with Disabilities

    In keeping with university policy. Student Conduct Code Sect. 8.050.1 and common standards of integrity and professional practice, plagiarism will not be tolerated. Plagiarism is grounds for expulsion from the university and/or disciplinary action within the course and/or program. Copying someone else’s work or lifting ideas from a source outside your own inspiration and presenting it as your own work is an act of cowardice that will result in immediate dismissal from the course and/or failing grades for the assignment and semester.

Permission

  • By enrolling in this Truman State University Art Department course, permission is granted by the student, to the university to use any artwork, designs or illustrations, as demonstrative samples of student work for the stated course, in university publications, websites or multimedia promotions.

Number 5 Illustration

This assignment is a visual problem solving, content/concept driven illustration. The subject matter is the idea of Five. Five what? That is for you to decide and visualize in an illustration. Vague as hell. Don't you just love creative freedom?

Illustration specs:

Media: open to any media we have worked with in class - line art, line and color, watercolor, gouache or digital painting. No digital image conversions - that's cheating. Pick your poison.

Size: Final printout - 13 x 19 with bleed?

Schedule:

October 17 - Final art due

October 21 - Final inkjet printout due

Remind me and I'll show you some examples of this assignment on Monday. Come to class ready to get approvals on final art (3 image montage), comps (Lincoln poster) and to work in class on your assignments. Quit screwing around in class. You are wasting two fun filled, action-packed hours of productive time.
